Saimin Says: Reviews & Ratings
Amazing food, perfectly seasoned. Friendly service felt like ohana (family). You ever try something and know immediately it's a cut above, made by a very experienced cook or chef? That's how this was. Reminded me of Pine Tree Cafe on the Big Island. I wish it was closer to home!
This place was great! This was a small eatery tucked into an unassuming business area. Great portion sizes at great prices. I got the combo plate of chicken katsu and garlic chicken. Chicken katsu was a little bland, which I think is normal honestly, so I wish they had tonkatsu sauce to eat with it. They do have other sauces like hot sauce and ketchup on the counter. Garlic chicken was juicy. We also got the kahlua loco moco, that was similarly great, a little salty. Hurricane fries were delicious. Crispy, fluffy, and well seasoned with what I think is spicy mayo and furikake. Overall paid about $42. Come with cash as card will have a 3.5% processing charge! Service was good. Lady at the front took our order promptly. The place itself is small. 1 table that fits 6 and about 5 tables that fit 2-3. Saw lots of to-go orders. Older place, not new and shiny, but I think it's nice it's more low-key. I would love to try their pancakes and other plate items next time. Would definitely come back!
You will be FULL after visiting. The food was overall quite good, we got the Kalua Moco, Garlic chicken and Chicken Katsu plate, and Hurricane(?) Fries. I'm a sucker for island eats and this hit the spot. The chicken plate could benefit from some sort of sauce, the fries and kalua moco (the over easy eggs were perfect) left me stuffed which ended up being leftovers for later in the night. Just be aware that this place is really small, only a few seats and tables, it seems like most folks order take out here. I'd also recommend bringing cash here.
I am in love with Hawaiian food here in the PNW. This little spot packs a big punch with all of the flavors and delicious food. I dove right in before I could take an og picture. I likely would have ordered a 2 meat plate but I thought doung the Bentonville box would be fun. The atmosphere was fine. It wasn't much to look at and I sat a little squenched near the front door. Hey ultimately I was happy they had indoor seating available. Easy place for pick up only. Worth going to, especially if you're visiting IKEA... It's a family owned small business which makes me feel better about my money spent.
A smaller space to seats 5 couples. You can get to go! Call in if you do that! Overall a nice space to sit down if you can steal a seat but people move in and out pretty quickly so if you want to sit just order (because everything comes to Togo anyways) and wait for a seat! The food was really good! For a good price! Customer service was amazing! We had to wait to order but she was so sweet and very quick to help!
A really great find in the area! This feels like a hole in the wall shop that you want to tell your friends! Great food that takes you back to Hawaii with some plated meals! //CONTEXT// Came here for IKEA of course! Literally across the street so this is great if you’re hungry before or need fuel for after! //ENVIRONMENT// A true hole in the wall in a business like complex! Maybe parties of four could fit! Nothing fancy but it it’s low key which I like //FOOD// - Mochiko Chicken and Luaua Pork with rice and Mac salad: so good! The mochiko chicken was yummy! A bit on the smaller bite size pieces and could be a bit bigger but I also don’t like when the pieces are massive so it’s great for one person! Flavorful and crispy! Loved the pork as well - on the peppery side but was very moist! I loved the tuna Mac salad and I normally don’t like tuna Mac! It was soft and creamy and not fishy at all - Corn Cream Chicken Soup: so good! Perfect for the weather! Tasty soup with a coconut like flavor //SERVICE// - I didn’t interact with the lady much but she seemed friendly! Overall i would come back!
First things first, my wife has been on a search for the best Mac salad in the greater Seattle area and says the one here is the best she's had so far. I agree. The menu is extensive, with something for everyone. I would happily return to try more. Everything I tasted was excellent. Service was quick. This is a no frills restaurant where the food comes in a take out container but it is absolutely delicious nonetheless.
This place made me feel like I was back in Hawaii. Small place, huge aloha and the food is delicious! They have a huge menu and you can find all your favorites! I have been here several times, and this time I got a combo plate with kalbi ribs and teriyaki chicken and a few spam musubi for dinner. Everything I come in the vibe is warm and friendly. They have a keikei menu as well. If you have not been here yet, please come by and support this place!
